Mini total hip replacement

A relatively new approach to hip replacement, which is mainly used in Germany, is the mini total hip replacement.

The principles and design of these materials is the same as the total hip, with the difference that the femoral stem is much shorter. This necessitates the retention of more bone stock in the femoral canal and makes reoperation in case of revision (revision) easier.

Mini hip replacement. The components have the same characteristics as those of classical total hip replacement, with the difference that the femoral stem is much shorter. This preserves more bone stock and make a future revision surgery easier for the surgeon.
